Summary: DSP-specific guide on what data to get from each DSP and how that data should be mapped to the columns in the macro mapping template.
The method described in the guide may not be the only way to get the required information from the DSP. The focus should be more on the dimensions from the DSP that you are mapping to the dimensions at IAS via the macro mapping template.
Avoid adding duplicate mappings into the macro mapping file. That is, each mapping should be unique for a given dimension.
The column names in the macro mapping template correspond to the dimensions in the Signal UI and are not representative of the DSP dimensions which may be mapped to them.
See Programmatic Reporting Activation and User Guide for more IAS information.
The mapping between Xandr dimensions and IAS macro mapping template is as follows:
Xandr Dimension | Macro Mapping Template Column |
LI Id | extCampaignId |
LI Name | extCampaignName |
Placement Id | extPlacementId |
Placement Name | extPlacementName |
Deal Id | extDealId |
Deal Name | extDealName |
The following steps can help map data for DSP macro dimension in Signal from Xandr data.
Step 1: Navigate to the Reporting section on Xandr.
Step 2: Add the following dimensions and any (random) metric to generate the data required for macro mapping. Ensure that you select the ‘Include IDs as separate column’ option.

Step 3:Run and Download the report.
Step 4: Use the data from the generated report to populate the IAS macro mapping template.
